Ingredients
- 4-5 lb Pork Shoulder (Pork Butt)
- 1 tbsp Dried Oregano
- 2 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup Orange Juice
- 2 tbsp Lime Juice
- 24 Corn Tortillas
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, mix the oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Step 2: Place the seasoned pork into a slow cooker. Add the minced garlic, chopped onion, orange juice, and lime juice around the meat.
- Step 3: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours (or high for 5-6 hours) until the meat is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
- Step 4: Remove the meat from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard any large pieces of fat.
- Step 5: For the 'Killer' finish, spread the shredded meat on a baking sheet. Drizzle with 1/2 cup of the leftover cooking liquid and broil for 5-10 minutes until the edges are crispy.
- Step 6: Serve immediately with warm corn tortillas and your favorite inexpensive toppings like cilantro and diced onions.
